CASE Construction Equipment has unveiled the latest additions to its motor grader lineup, the D-Series, featuring the 836D and 856D models. Building on the strengths of the previous C-Series, these new graders focus on enhancing operator comfort and productivity with advanced features such as a redesigned cabin, intuitive controls, and powerful Dual Power engines.
The D-Series graders are equipped with a low-profile ROPS/FOPS cab that offers excellent visibility and easier transportation due to the reduced height. The cabin includes full-width tinted glazing, a touchscreen display for machine and maintenance data, and a rear-view camera for improved safety. The cabin’s layout has been carefully designed, featuring a customizable display, an electronic hand throttle, and various storage compartments. Operators can select between electro-hydraulic joystick controls or mechanical levers, both providing precise control over the machine’s functions. The cabin also features a heated, air-suspended seat and three-axis joysticks, equipped with multiple control options for maximum comfort and precision.
Powered by a Stage V compliant six-cylinder FPT diesel engine, the D-Series graders deliver a dual power curve that provides maximum power as transmission ratios increase, enhancing productivity. The engine is compatible with HVO and other synthetic fuels and features a maintenance-free DOC and SCRoF exhaust after-treatment system. The Ergopower transmission ensures smooth gear shifts, and the all-wheel-drive models offer a creep mode for precise compaction work. Optional 24” tires are available for challenging ground conditions.
The D-Series offers a range of customizable moldboard options, including different widths, extensions, and additional features such as an overload clutch and a five-tooth ripper. The moldboard design features a roller-mounted encapsulated slewing ring, reducing wear and ensuring high mechanical torque for precise control. Fewer greasing points mean reduced maintenance, increasing uptime and profitability.
CASE provides comprehensive after-sales solutions for the D-Series graders, including the CASE SiteWatch subscription, a fleet management tool with tracking and geofencing capabilities. The CASE SiteConnect system enhances telematics, providing real-time alerts to dealers about machine performance and operating conditions, facilitating proactive maintenance and repair. Additional services include CASE Care, a planned maintenance program using genuine parts and lubricants, CASE Protect extended warranty, and CASE Fluid Analysis to optimize machine performance and prevent unexpected costs.
