ASV, part of the Yanmar Compact Equipment brand, has unveiled the redesigned RT-65 Posi-Track loader, which signifies a notable enhancement in their range of compact track loaders and skid steers. This new model focuses on increasing productivity, user convenience, and performance, making it a valuable asset for contractors and owner-operators in the construction and landscaping sectors.
The updated RT-65 features a Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engine, representing a significant performance upgrade. Peter Ovrebo, Product Management Director for North America at Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, notes, “Our commitment is to provide more durable and high-performance equipment. The RT-65 is a major improvement with a complete redesign, enhancing both productivity and ease of use on job sites.”
The new RT-65 includes a radial-lift design and is powered by a 67.1-horsepower Yanmar engine. It offers an optional high-flow hydraulic system with a 26.7 gpm capacity. The loader’s hydraulic system, along with direct drive pumps, ensures impressive performance, with a rated operating capacity of 2,000 pounds and a tipping load of 5,714 pounds.
A standout feature of the RT-65 is its Posi-Track rubber track undercarriage, which ASV highlights for its excellent traction and maneuverability. With a weight of 7,385 pounds, the RT-65 features a sophisticated suspension system with two independent torsion axles per undercarriage. This design provides a smooth ride over different terrains and maintains a low ground pressure of just 4.2 psi, making it highly effective in steep, wet, muddy, and slippery conditions.
In summary, the redesigned RT-65 Posi-Track loader by ASV offers a powerful and adaptable solution, blending advanced engineering with practical features to address the needs of modern construction and landscaping applications.
